Workplace pain and stress shouldn’t come home with you.

Stress release exercises

The key to feeling good is treating yourself that way.

How many can you check off?

  • I go to work and come home without ever moving or exercising throughout the day.
  • My chair is ergonomic, but this back pain won’t go away.
  • I don’t have a lot of time to take care of myself.
  • At work, I have a lot to do in a little time. I’m in front of my screen a lot!
  • I can’t ever seem to get a proper night’s rest.

If it’s more than two, I want to help. After all…

Pain and stress from your job shouldn’t interfere with normal life. And you deserve better.

Perhaps right now you have this non-stop GO GO GO feeling. With tasks, stress, and pain that never seem to end.

And even if on the outside you appear to be in shape and healthy, you know you’re not.

Why you’re in pain

Repetition

Doing the same movements over and over, especially with incorrect posture.

Furniture

That isn’t quite right. This can be extra true if you’re working from home with random tables and chairs.

Inactivity

This one is pretty easy to understand. You’re just sitting all day and not moving around…

Stress

This is the origin of all physical pain.

Muscle imbalance

Happens from bad posture and stretching the wrong muscles.

Lack of sleep

Happens from bad posture and stretching the wrong muscles.

Find relief through yoga therapy

Some people will say all yoga is therapeutic.

I look at it this way:

You know those times when you’ve had a hard day at work and it feels therapeutic to get on the phone with a friend? But then you go to an actual therapist when something is really wrong and you need professional help?

That’s yoga therapy.

And to conduct a yoga therapy session, you’ve got to be a professional.

As a yoga therapist, I’ve gone through a lot of specialized training. (Over 1000 hours!)

And I’ve worked with busy, career professionals since 2013 to help them eliminate back pain and calm the mind after a long, stressful day at work.

Here are some other issues working with a yoga therapist can help with:

  • Libido
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Shoulder and back pain
  • Lack of flexibility
  • That cycle of “just one glass of wine to help me sleep” thing that happens when you’re overwhelmed at the end of the day

And the best part?

Now you can do it from the comfort of your own home. At a time that works with your busy schedule.

Let’s release that stress and anxiety together.

No matter where you’re at right now, I want to help alleviate all the tension and anxiety that’s built up in your body right now.

Real pain and stress relief stories

Daily life consisted of a never-ending rush of work, gym, cleaning, appointments, errands that don’t end…

Yoga Therapy helped me SLOW DOWN and turn off the panicked auto-pilot mode I’ve been functioning on. Being able to STOP and BREATHE has been useful for pumping the brakes, and I’ve been having less problems with depression.

Raquel also showed me some sequences that could be easily done in an office setting, helping me modify poses due to space constraints. 10/10, would recommend!

Before working with Raquel, I struggled mostly with back pain. Working with her allowed me to discover aerial yoga therapy and neurogenic tremors for stress and back issues. I used to suffer from back pain, among others, and now I have new tools that I can apply autonomously.

– Anonymous client, Luxembourg

Before working with Raquel I struggled with lower back pain because my job requires that I sit a lot behind my desk. The best part of working with her were the suggestions she made to relieve my back pain with easy tools. She can really show you yoga exercises specifically linked to your problems. Plus, Raquel is easy to talk to and made sure I was relaxed and comfortable.

– Fatima, Belgium

My session with Raquel was incredibly helpful. She has such a relaxing manner, it felt like talking to a friend I’d known for years. I loved the fact that she has such a holistic approach to assessing health. This came through in the questions she asked. I came away from our session with a list of recommendations tailored to me that I was able to start using straight away. Such a productive session and so much fun!

Go from fight or flight to relax and recover

Here’s how we work together to make that happen

Pain and Posture Half Day

Our time together will be 4-5 hours. This might seem like a lot, but remember: I am doing a full assessment and we are going to create a custom plan for YOU.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Intake and Breathing + Physical Assessments
This is where I’ll ask you questions about your pain, how you sit throughout the day, your activity, health history, etc. We’ll also go into how you breath, your posture, and other physical assessments so I can give you the proper next steps.

Yoga Therapy Practice
In the second half of our time together, based on the previous assessments, you and I will do some yoga therapy together! You’ll learn how to breath, strengthen, stretch…and relax!

We’ll talk about hacks and routines, sequence delivery, and I’ll explain and model any suggested modifications to make this practice easy and consistent in your life.

Stress Relief Exercises Half Day

Our time together will be 4-5 hours. This might seem like a lot, but remember: I am doing a full assessment, and we are going to do some live exercises to relieve stress now. And teach you how to do it yourself for years to come.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Intake Assessment and Tremors
This is where I’ll ask questions about your stress, health history, and other stress-related questions. We’ll go over suggested routines and the hacks you need to implement them into your everyday life easily. Together, we’ll practice the routine so you get a good feel for it.

Tremors Practice
This is a full-on tremors session. I’ll guide you through the benefits and we’ll get started with some exercises to induce tremors and tremor. We’ll end with a relaxation session called yoga Nidra. (a deep guided relaxation designed to put you (almost) to sleep.)

By the end, you’ll know how to do all this at home, with everything you need to implement into your everyday life easily.

What we can address in our time together

Together, we’ll address both the origin of the problem and how to solve it.

The areas of mental stress are anxiety, worries, panic attacks, phobias, and mental fatigue. For physical stress, we can address:

  • Backache
  • Insomnia
  • Joint disorders
  • Hormone-related complaints (e.g., menopause)
  • Burn-out
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome (ME)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Depression
  • Migraine or tension headaches
  • Cardiovascular problems
  • Neurological disorder
  • Respiratory disorders
  • Immune system
  • Digestive complaints
  • Diabetes
  • Excess weight
  • Chronic pain

What benefits you can expect

You can experience immediate relief during and after our session.

Then, when you implement the changes to your workspace + routine, you’ll see fast improvement in the first weeks to a month.
As you continue your practice, you’ll feel progression.

The idea is to come out of the session already feeling better and with a solution to implement at home.

Now, the solution isn’t something strenuous or rigid to your schedule, like an everyday workout and yoga practice that takes at least an hour. Instead, it’s just simple + small changes in life like doing 5 breaths before coffee or 10 breaths and before bed. Or 10 hip rotations right after your bathroom break.

In short, I want to give you easy-to-do and easy-to-remember tasks that will actually change your life without disturbing it.

My goal is for you to be independent of me so you can progress easily on your own.

How this is effective

Western medicine is always trying to separate the mind from the body. But the truth? The self is both those things together.

Science shows that there is an intricate and often inseparable relationship between the body and the mind, and how these two units act as one. The field of psychosomatic medicine investigates the embodied manifestations of psychological processes.

That’s where yoga therapy and stress release exercises come in. Both are a total body-mind approach.

With yoga therapy and stress release exercises, we can focus on the sensations of the body, slow down our mind, and finally understand the connection between the two. So we can begin to relieve stress, eliminate aches and pains, and heal.

Why I’m uniquely qualified

Although I wish I’d gotten into yoga at a younger age, the truth is I only started because I was grieving the death of my father, anxious + sleep deprived from work and motherhood, and in a constant state of aches and pains.

Being a Human Resources manager specializing in Health and Safety at Work and Ergonomics… I knew I had a lot of posture-related issues from a bad work environment. After all, it was my job to help people recognize that for themselves and teach them how to alleviate all that.

So, I got into yoga and by 2013, had become certified to teach by the World Yoga Alliance.

Fast forward to today, I’ve helped hundreds of people from finance, HR, government, and other high stress professions get their life and body back with yoga therapy.

Let’s release that stress and anxiety together

No matter where you’re at right now, I want to help alleviate all the tension and anxiety that’s built up in your body right now.
